Bookish surprises unveiled, new books in the works, and a bookish giveaway are some of the highlights in Katherine D. Graham's May 2026 writing roundup!

As you may have seen in my April writing roundup, Starfire Express: A Flame of Fae and Fang is continuing to pick up steam. 

-As of May 2026, the first volume in my Starfire Express series is well on its way toward a much-anticipated release with an official release date announcement .

-Starfire Express: A Flame of Fae and Fang ebook pre-orders have continued to open all month long, and are now available across most major retailers here.

-Readers who requested personalized invitations for the launch are now starting to receive them, like amazing fellow author Andrea Rigsby, who shared theirs publicly on Instagram here.

In other news, a new stand-alone project (a gothic historical fantasy which brings vibes/themes from The Phantom of the Opera together with Egyptian mythology and dark romance) has been coming together on the side when I'm not editing Starfire Express. This untitled new piece is one that consumes my muse as much as an opera ghost could.

Finally, as a reader deep down in my core, I continued reading other people's books this month.
