Developmental Editing

3 cents per word with a 3,000-word minimum.

Developmental editing is a content edit focusing on:

• Plot
• Pacing
• World-building
• Character development
• POV/Genre conformity

You will receive in-line comments throughout your manuscript as well as a 3 to 5-page in-depth critique.

Professional Beta Reading 

0.8 cents per word with a 10,000-word minimum. 

Professional Beta Reading is a content review post developmental edit (meaning it looks for things that slipped through a dev edit) focusing on: 

• Plot holes
• Plot/Character/World-Building contradictions
• Character relatability/believability
• World-building clarity and flow
• POV consistency

Proofreading

1.2 cents per word with a 3,000-word minimum.

Proofreading is the final check for typos/spelling errors that were missed in your line and copy editing phases.

Proofreads do not include any content errors or readability revisions, and are not a 'discounted' technical edit. Proofreads should not replace your line/copy edits. 

The average 'proofread' corrections per page that I find are 5 changes per 250-word page. 

If your submission for proofreading has more errors per page than that 5 changes per page average, I reserve the right to pause all work and request the higher copy editing or line editing rates.
